11th WAVO Congress, Theme: GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN VALUATION

The WAVO Executive Committee held a successful meeting where the new lineup of WAVO Executive Committee members for the term 2024 to 2026 were elected on Friday 6 September 2024 in Bucharest, Romania.
The new Executive President of WAVO is Robert Hecek (Australian Property Institute, API), President-Elect Reiner Lux (HypZert), President Emeritus Dr Lim Lan Yuan (Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, SISV) 1st Vice President Terry Dunkin (Appraisal Institute, AI) with Vice President Blue Hancock (Property Institute of New Zealand, PINZ), Vice President Zhang Geng Hua (China Appraisal Society, CAS), Vice President Sumi Ku (Korea Association of Property Appraisers, KAPA) and Treasurer Dr Chai Qiang/Coco Li Juan (China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents, CIREA). The rest of the Executive Committee members include Immediate Past President Dr Adrian Crivii (ANEVAR), the Korea Real Estate Board (KREB) represented by Won Kook Yi and the Pan-Ukranian Association of Valuation Specialists (PUAVS) represented by Dr Valery V. Yakubovsky.
On the same day, the WAVO Executive Committee members attended the 11th WAVO Congress 2024, hosted by ANEVAR, where President Robert Hecek successfully announced the WAVO Global Education Hub to some 700 participants including WAVO members and delegates from Finland, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and many other countries. Ben Elder, Chair of the IVSC Advisory Forum Working Group congratulated WAVO on the launch of the WAVO Global Education Hub via zoom from the United Kingdom and Nick Talbot, CEO IVSC who was at the Congress extended his congratulations to WAVO.
WAVO also welcomed new member the Capital Chamber of Professional Appraisers from Kazakhstan, whose representative, Yerlan Yeszhanov was at the Congress to receive the Certificate of Membership from President Robert Hecek.
