Member Organisation
Wavo Globally
WAVO members are located from around the world from South-East Asia (Singapore), to Asia (Hong Kong , Korea and China), Australasia (Australia and New Zealand) to Europe (Romania, Germany, Portugal and Ukraine) and in America (United States and Mexico)
WAVOs structure and operations will provide for full representation of its diverse membership. It is in the business of supporting organisations and their members to become more relevant to the public and the industry they serve.
WAVO has established a website for the promulgation of valuation and related counseling information. As part of the move to encourage greater cooperation and a minimum standard of tertiary education for property professionals worldwide, a Memorandum of Understanding for Recognition of Designations was signed by 4 WAVO members, namely, API, AIC, PINZ & SISV. To encourage dialogues and communication between members, an international valuation and related counseling conference, was held. The first congress held in Singapore in 2006, the second in Beijing, China in 2007, the third in Bucharest, Romania in 2008, the fourth was held in Guilin, Guangxi, China in 2009 and the fifth was held in 2010 in Singapore.
WAVO will continue:
- To support the consistent application of valuation standards and methodologies, set criteria for educational standards and to work to improve educational and training opportunities.
- To establish core competencies and skill sets for members and assist member organisations in providing education-training courses.
- To facilitate the portability of qualifications by establishing a platform for the seamless transportability of professional valuation qualifications globally.
- To work with and support IVSC, and develop education modules for the adoption and implementation of International Valuation Standards.
- To obtain recognition and support from the World Bank, the United Nations and other world organisations committed to the WAVO objectives and principles.
In November 2016 in South Korea, WAVO signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) with the IVSC. One of the key objects of the collaboration between the two world bodies is that WAVO will provide the education and training of valuers on the International Valuation Standards. WAVO, which has been conducting the IVS since 2017, is presently conducting the IVS 2020 online on its website.
Many practising property & business valuers and other related professionals (accountants, auditors, lawyers, educationists, etc) from around the world attended the inaugural IVSC-WAVO Global Valuation Conference in June 2018 in Singapore. The second IVSC-WAVO Global Valuation Conference was successfully held in Frankfurt Germany in June 2019. The 3rd IVSC-WAVO Global Valuation Conference will be held in New Zealand in the summer of 2021.
We invite you to complete the attached membership application and join your peers in providing leadership and developing the future of the valuation and related counseling profession.
Sincerely
Dr Lim Lan Yuan
